Inner
Mongolia Mengxi High-Tech Group Co. Ltd.is based in Mengxi High-tech Industrial
Park (National Demonstration Base of New Material Research Achievement Transformation
and Industrialization as well as one of the first group of National Recycling Economic
Pilot Industrial Park) in Erdos City, Inner Mongolia, bordering Beijing-to-Tibet
Expressway and Qianshishan Mountain where there contains rich mineral resources
to the east, one kilometer to Baotou-to-Lanzhou Railway and National Highway 110
to the east and six kilometers to Wuhai Airport to the south, and adjoining Western
Coal Base – Wuhai City.。
Since 1994 when the company was founded, Mengxi has achieved
great success in reforming and advancing traditional industries through new and
applicable technologies under the persistently-followed principle of “High-level
Starting Point, Advanced Technology, Upstream Industry Chain, High Added-value and
Intensified Environmental Protection.” Though founded as an unknown cement producer,
Mengxi, depending on substantial social support and relentless efforts by all Mengxi
staff and over ten years of development, has begun to take the shape of a major
enterprise in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region that relies on natural resources
and technologies to undertake collectivized operation and cover a range of industries
including cement, kaolin, nano-materials, extraction of aluminum oxide from fly
ash, technology development as well as other areas. Its affiliate Mengxi Cement
Co. Ltd. is a joint venture between Mengxi Group and Goldman Sachs Strategic Holdings
Limited, which was listed in 2006 as one of the 60 large-scale cement enterprises
eligible for state support and entitled “National High Technology Enterprise”.
Mengxi has been upholding the corporate
development guideline of “People Orientation while Technology of Top Priority” all
along, and then formed long-term technological-cooperation partnership with 15 domestic
higher education institutes and scientific research organizations. In 2000, upon
State Ministry of Personnel’s approval, a post-doctorate research workstation was
established in Mengxi. While taking advantages of talents, technology as well as
resources, the company took ground in comprehensive utilization of resources, established
a scientifically reasonable industry chain and constructed a unique recycling economic
industry structure. In November, 2005, it was determined that Mengxi High-tech Industrial
Park was among the first group of National Recycling Economic Pilot Industrial Park.
On June 13th, 2006, Mengxi Group inaugurated an aluminum oxide project with an annual
capacity of 400,000 tons, proprietary intellectual property rights of which was
owned by Mengxi itself. This project is the first one approved by State Development
and Reform Commission that produces aluminum oxide from fly ash and also forges
a new industry chain for Mengxi’s recycling economy. On July 21st, 2006, Mengxi
Group was listed by State Ministry of Science and Technology, State Assets Supervision
and Administration Commission and All China Federation of Trade Unions into the
103 state innovation pilot enterprises and was the only one in Inner Mongolia Autonomous
Region.
Relying on highly-efficient innovation mechanisms and outstanding
corporate culture, Mengxi people opened up a glorious past on the promising land
of Erdos Plateau. As we look into the future and stand in the face of a historic
opportunity that China drives to develop Western China and revive the former industrial
base in North-east China, Mengxi people are determined to build upon today and shape
